The Cantina Montelliana was established in1957. It lies in the foothills of the area stretching from the Montello to the Asolo Hill area and is in the heart of the Marca Trevigiana, an area with ideal soil and climate for wine grape production.
The grapes used by the wine cellar come from the vineyards situated on the Montello and Asolo hills at a n altitude of 120 to 250 metres above sea level, all with southern exposures. The terrain has variable characteristics, although the gravely subsoil is a constant, allowing excellent drainage of rainwater. Besides the vineyards located on the hills of Asolo and around Montebelluna, other vineyards are to be found in the plain on either side of the river Piave.

Cantina Montelliana is a cooperative of associated vine-growers. Approximately sixty thousand quintals of grapes are harvested every year from about 600 hectares ( 1,350 acres ) of vineyards, giving an output per hectare of less than 100 quintals. (10 metric tons, approx. 4.5 metric tons per acre) These facts confirm that the cooperative is oriented to producing quality Italian wine. The cooperative's deep commitment to quality is shown in its continuous efforts to improve its production, storage and bottling facilities by searching out the latest and best technology available. From the moment the grapes arrive at the winery, they are selected and separated according to strict criteria concerning variety, quality and zone of cultivation, while laboratory tests are carried out on samples. The transformation Cantina Montelliana 's grapes to quality wines are the end result of the Co-operatives investment . All stainless steel systems to ensure quality and hygiene - “Gentle” pressing of the grapes using Type presses - Controlled temperature vinification – Holding and storage tanks are controlled temperature stainless steel vessels - Barrels and small wooden casks are in controlled climate areas – Filtration and bottling are automated and computerised to ensure maximum safety and quality in packaging – Finished product is kept in a cool temperature storage environment. Product Cantina Montelliana produces still, semi-sparkling or sparkling white wines, using both the Charmat method (secondary fermentation in autoclave) and the Classic method (secondary fermentation in the bottle) and a variety of red wines in both “New World” and Classic Italian Styles. At each level of production, from the arrival of the grapes at the winery to the day of sale, constant quality assurance takes place. All monitored by our own internal laboratory and quality control department. Cantina Montelliana's commitment towards quality production continues with wines obtained using the organic method monitored by our technicians and those of the ICEA Veneto from the vineyard to the actual selling. In 2002 Cantina Montelliana obtained the ISO quality certificate for vinification, storage and sale of wines in bulk as well as for packaging/bottling and marketing/sale of wines
