"CHEERS TO THE NEW ASOLO DOCG PROSECCO SUPERIORE"
3 days dedicated to the new DOCG
On 4 June the new event was inaugurated with a Gala dinner in the superb Villa di Maser. In addition to Cantina Montelliana there were another 12 DOCG wine producers as well as a good number of journalists who write for specialised magazines and who therefore had the opportunity of tasting the quality of our prestigious sparkling wine in the actual area of production.
"A dry extract of at least 16 grams per litre": this rule of the official regulation was emphasised during the presentation that evening. It does not mean much to most consumers, but to those who work in the sector it is an important factor in obtaining prestigious, superior quality wines.
The event continued on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June at the Tipoteca (Type and Printing Museum) in Cornuda with discussions on the great opportunities that the DOCG (Registered and Guaranteed Designation of Origin) recognition offers our territory. The guests included Leonardo Muraro, President of the Province of Treviso, Diego Tomasi of the Viticulture Research Centre, Paolo Luciani, the Sommelier who works on the TG5 “Gusto” programme, and the regional councillor for agriculture, Franco Manzato.
